![]() I’m pretty sure that all of you are much more experienced, and therefore would likely no better. If you guys have any suggestions, recommendations, even just “forget about it, just suck it up and use your screen,” I’m all ears. However, since both are out of my price range, I’ve been trying to come up with some idea to make something similar. My inspiration to get into Sunvox was from the M8 and the Polyend Tracker. I don’t necessarily see myself making full songs on the android, likely on the ipad instead. I’m sure that I’ll lose functionality of the JBL speaker in this case, as well as probably some performance, but given I’m mostly just messing around right now (more on that in a second), as long as the program runs and I can do little diddies then I’m fine. I have a little experience with the PC version, but not as much, as I don’t use my laptop too often. I was considering pushing linux onto my old phone, and running the Linux version of Sunvox. However, in the android version of Sunvox, I can’t seem to find a way to set functions for external controls. For sound, I have a small speaker I wouldn’t mind dedicating to this idea, but also I have a Moto Z JBL speaker attachment, which I can no longer use as I’ve left the Z series phone. I figured I could hook up my midi keyboard, grab a mechanical numpad for navigation and input, and possibly a wireless mouse. I’d need a USB hub, and a power bank, but both of those are relatively easy to get. You can also use the WaveShaper module to heavily alter the wave and give it unique harmonics and shapes. One powerful method is the 'drawn' or 'drawn spline' waveforms in the Generator and Analog Generator modules, which allow you to draw your own waveforms. I was thinking about taking one of my old phones (Moto Z4), and attempting to make sort of a “console” out of it, and was wondering what this subreddit’s thoughts were. SunVox can easily create these same waveforms using several methods. I find that even on the ipad I hit buttons I don’t mean to, and holding the tablet in one hand and trying to use the other to navigate and input makes my personal workflow a little bit slower and more clunky than I’d prefer. I’ve been having a blast, but considering trying to make it more “useable” for myself. I’m new to Sunvox, and have been messing around on my phone (android) and ipad.
